Telangana High Court case status

Check Telangana High Court case status by case number or by party name. The court sits at Hyderabad, in the building that served both Telugu states until 2019.

People still search it as the Hyderabad High Court, which is what it was called before the split. Cases that went to Andhra Pradesh at that point are on the AP High Court register instead.

Before you search

Four things, and all four have to be right.

Get one wrong and you get an empty result, not an error. That's what makes these searches so frustrating.

Worth keeping to hand: your CNR, the 16-character code printed on every order and filing receipt. It never changes, so it's the thing to quote when you deal with the registry, and it's what a district court search takes as its key.

Cause list

Where your case falls in the day.

The registry publishes the next day's running order each evening: court number, bench, and where your matter sits in the list. Find your case above, then track it and we'll tell you when it's next listed.

Other names

Same court, different names.

People search the Telangana High Court as Hyderabad High Court, TS High Court, TSHC. They're all the same court, and this page covers every one of them.

Questions

The things people ask us.

How do I check Telangana High Court case status?

Enter the case type, number and filing year, or search by party name with the year. The court hears the state from a single seat at Hyderabad.

Is the Hyderabad High Court the same as the Telangana High Court?

Yes, since 2019. The court at Hyderabad served Andhra Pradesh and Telangana jointly until then, and on separation it became the Telangana High Court. Andhra Pradesh cases moved to the AP High Court at Amaravati.

What does TS High Court mean?

TS is the state abbreviation for Telangana. TS High Court and Telangana High Court are the same court.

Does the Telangana High Court have benches?

No. It hears the whole state from Hyderabad, so a single search covers the court and there is no seat to choose.

If this isn't your court

Where to look instead.

Filed somewhere else? Andhra Pradesh High Court, Karnataka High Court and Bombay High Court sit next door. If you are not sure which High Court a case belongs to, the High Court case status directory is the place to start, and the seat is decided by where the case was filed rather than where you live.

A matter below the High Court will not be on this register at all. For those, use court case status from the taluka court up, which also accepts a CNR.

We read the public eCourts record, so this is only as current as the registry has published. If something turns on a deadline or a limitation period, check with the registry or your advocate. Don't rely on us for that. If it's the law itself you need, the bare acts are here in full.
